Ben & Jerry’s Naperville Celebrates Free Cone Day Supporting Naperville Humane Society

     Mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 16th, as Ben & Jerry’s Naperville Scoop Shop on Water Street in downtown Naperville celebrates Free Cone Day, a Ben & Jerry’s tradition dating back to 1979. The Naperville location will offer free cones between noon and 8 pm and is partnering with the Naperville Humane Society.  Guests attending will receive a scoop of ice cream in a sugar cone or cup.  With a $2 donation to the Humane Society, ice cream can be served in a waffle cone.

Free Cone Day went global in 2015 and in 2022, Ben & Jerry’s gave away over 1,000,000 scoops around the world. “This annual event is our way of thanking our fans for their continued support,” says Christina O’Toole, of Ben & Jerry’s Naperville. “We are happy to help the Naperville Humane Society celebrate their 45th Anniversary, because we believe in supporting and helping animals find their loving forever homes.”

In addition to cash donations, Ben & Jerry’s will be collecting items for the Humane Society including Kitten canned pate fancy feast – no fish, Kitten Science Diet Chicken in dry kibble form Non clumping cat litter, Bleach, Liquid laundry soap, Soft Dog Treats – made in U.S.A only

The day will also feature the chance to win a Raffle basket for $1 per ticket. Fans and friends can enjoy their favorite flavor or discover a new scoop to love.  If tradition holds, be prepared to make new friends while you wait in line. All other Water Street retailers and restaurants will be open to welcome you to shop, dine and enjoy all that Water Street has to offer.  

The Naperville Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop offers cups, cones, pints, sundaes, shakes, slushes, cakes, and even doggie treats. The shop also offers take out, ice cream catering and gift cards.
