Donations for women’s supply drive

State Rep. Dagmara “Dee” Avelar, D-Bolingbrook, in partnership with state Sen. John Connor, D-Lockport, is collecting menstrual and hygiene product donations to benefit United Way of Will County.

Avelar’s office is accepting donations of personal products such as sanitary pads, tampons, and liners, as well as full-sized shampoos, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant and bars of soap. Individuals can donate online by visiting amzn.to/3sqr0gC or items can be dropped off at the following locations:

“I am grateful to United Way of Will County for helping to provide menstrual and hygiene necessities to those in need in our community,” said Avelar. “I will continue to support legislation that increases access to these products and promotes the wellbeing of families across the state.”
