Gallery 7 Presents Purely Reflective

Published and award-winning fine art photographer and author Michele Farkas has become the newest member of Gallery 7, 116 N. Chicago St. Suite 102, in downtown Joliet. Farkas is known for taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary.

Having a true outsider art attitude which sometimes evades reality, Farkas escapes to her own parallel world which results in the creation of thought provoking images of luminescent swirls of color, light and reflection. Come experience her work showing now at Gallery 7, until October 15.

"My photographic imagery allows one to abandon all cultural myths and predictability finding only the pure reflective quality of the mind.” Farkas explains. A very active artist, Michele holds membership in three art organizations, and is currently president of the Photographic Arts Society based in Joliet. She has participated in local and national art exhibitions, winning several awards. Bring Balance to Your Life, Michele's first book features her writings and photography, it offers a visual and emotional perspective on balancing work and life. Michele has also published three other photography books: Solo exhibition 2011-Dare to Imagine, Portfolio Vol. I-Abstracts by Michele Farkas, and Portfolio Vol. II-Architecture, Weathering the Test of Time. Gallery 7 is operated by a cooperative group of local artists, and is located at 116 N. Chicago St. Suite 102, next to the historic Rialto Theater in downtown Joliet.
