Two University of St. Francis (USF) nursing faculty members have received recognition from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Professor of nursing Catherine “Kay” Ferrario, who holds a doctorate of nursing science degree, received the 2012 AANP Nurse Practitioner State Award for Excellence in Illinois. Cheryl Brubaker, clinical track instructor for the Master of Science in Nursing program, received the same award for New Mexico, announced Carol Wilson, dean of the university’s Cecily and John Leach College of Nursing.
The University of St. Francis offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing, along with a doctorate program.
The awards will be presented at the Salute to States event at the annual AANP National Conference, in June. AANP has more than 33,000 individual members.
