The indigenous varietals seminar which will be held in Chicago, will be led by Tom Hyland, a noted wine educator, journalist and author of LearnItalianWines.com.
“Vinitaly sees its mission as educating wine consumers and the trade on Italian wines. What better way to educate people than to have them taste wines from a specific area of a specific grape variety?” said Stevie Kim, General Coordinator of Vinitaly In The World and Senior Advisor to CEO Giovanni Mantovani
“Italy has the largest patrimony of grapes in the world and we want to showcase some portion of it every time we can. We're thrilled to have Valpolicella and Sagrantino at our tastings this year,” she added.
The Vinitaly In the World Tour is in its 15th year and the US stop is one of the countries on the tour.
