Senior Services Giving Fund

The Annual Bernadine Hudson Leadership Giving Fund Kick-Off was held on Monday, April 16th at the Senior Services Center of Will County. The Bernadine Hudson Fund serves many purposes: The Fund raises money to help support the services and programs the Senior Services Center offers to seniors throughout Will County. Last year we served over 52,000 seniors, delivered nearly 100,000 hot meals to seniors and raised almost $50,000 for this fund.

This year our Community Leadership Award was given to Mark and Sharon Dames. The Dames Family have been long time supporters of the Center and were very helpful when purchasing the building we are in which use to be the Dames Funeral Home. The Dames Family should be commended for their community involvement. They are very deserving of this award. In addition to the Community Leadership Award, we also awarded three college students a $500 scholarship from each of the local colleges including JJC; Lewis University and University of St. Francis. We raised over $10,000 for the fund that evening. Many thanks to all who attended and continue to provide support for seniors throughout Will County!
