About Us

The Times Weekly Newspaper is an independently owned and operated community newspaper that has published in the Chicago Land Metropolitan area since 1986.  We have become an important entity in both local and the state of Illinois newspaper industry.  Our goal is to inform the community about the happenings of Will County, and beyond each Thursday.  This is achieved by covering special events, council meetings, and much more to offer a balance of local and government news needed to keep residents knowledgeable.  

Our Products

PRINT: The Times Weekly provides local communities with informative and positive news. The newspaper is divided into sections most requested by our readers.  Each Week you will find articles on news, living, entertainment, dining, automotive, education, sports, environmental, senior citizens, church and much more.  There is something for everyone.    The Times Weekly is the only weekly newspaper, in Will County, that reaches eight communities and more than 75,000 readers. These communities include New Lenox, Joliet, Crest Hill, Lockport, Romeoville, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, and Shorewood.  We look forward to expanding into additional villages during the 2010 fiscal year.

DIGITAL EDITION: The Times Weekly recently introduced our digital edition available online.  The digital edition is a duplication of our print edition, but is delivered every Thursday morning directly to your e-mail address.  Interested readers sign up for a free subscription by releasing their e-mail address and zip code.  They are then able to read The Times Weekly, save and print articles, and also be directed to advertiser website addresses directly from our newspaper.  This gives readers on the go the opportunity to view The Times Weekly before it hits the news stand. The Digital Times Weekly launched in June of 2009 and has collected more than 3,500 subscribers.  About 85% of our digital subscribers are from the Chicago land metropolitan area, but we have also excited subscribers from across the country. This allows us the unique opportunity to place your product in front of thousands of potential buyers every week.  No other publication is using this technology in Will County.

WEB SITE:The Times Weekly has launched our redesigned website at www.thetimesweekly.com.  The website is designed to allow beginner through advanced users the opportunity to enter a new world.  We have taken extra measures to insure that the website is easy to view and navigate.  www.thetimesweekly.com features additional articles not included in our print or digital edition.  There is also interactive video, recorded news stories, and commercial advertising.
