Seniors’ Expo at The Timbers of Shorewood

A health and financial expo for seniors will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, June 6, in the ballroom at The Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Rd. The public is welcome to browse and take advantage of the free screenings.
Health screenings include hearing, vision, blood pressure and glucose. There will also be information tables about hospice and in-home care, reverse mortgages, estate planning and more.

Area senior citizens are invited to a “Halloween Ballroom Dance” from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at The Timbers of Shorewood retirement community, 1100 N. River Rd., Shorewood. In addition to dancing, there will be a costume contest with fun prizes.

JOLIET – A handprint flag created by residents of Sunny Hill Nursing Home of Will County will fly over a trio of U.S. military facilities.
The 66-by-96 inch flag was created as a tribute to the nation’s armed forces and will fly above bases in Iraq, Virginia and Illinois.
