Most Reverend R. Daniel Conlon, will celebrate the 4:00 pm Mass in the St. Mary Immaculate Parish Church on Saturday, January 28. An informal reception will immediately follow in Cana Hall giving all parishioners an opportunity to welcome and meet Bishop Conlon personally.

To all those interested in joining Plainfield ‘s community of local artisans and art patrons, you are encourage to join local artisans at a Member Meeting & Demo, held from 7 pm to 9 pm, every 2nd Wednesday of the month. Board Meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of the month from 7 pm to 9 pm. Currently, all meetings are being held at Panera Bread Restaurant on the southeast corner of Caton Farm Road and Rt. 59 (entrance off of Caton Farm). Please check the website for updates. Registration for the 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon opened to the public at noon (CST) on Wednesday, February 1, at www.chicagomarathon.com. The 35th anniversary of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon will be held on Columbus Day weekend, Sunday, October 7, starting and finishing in Chicago's Grant Park. Registration will be open to the first 45,000 entrants.

The Uptown Eatery and Tap is holding a Hops for Hospice benefit for Joliet Area Community Hospice Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. at 24035 Lockport St. in Plainfield. There is no charge to enter and a Joliet Area Community Hospice will receive a monetary donation on buckets of beer and certain drink specials.
