Joliet West High student performs National Anthem at IHSA Girls Basketball State Finals

Joliet West High School student, Payton Fraser was selected to perform the National Anthem during the IHSA Girls Basketball State Finals at CEFCU Arena on Saturday March 2, 2024, for the opening on the campus of Illinois State University.  The selection of the National Anthem vocalists is the IHSA’s method of showcasing the top high school vocalists in Illinois.

With many notable musical achievements to her credit while in high school Fraser adds to the accomplishments her selection to the ILMEA All-State Choirs, named Best Performer in an Actress Role in the 2023 Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards which was sponsored by Broadway in Chicago and this spring she will play the lead role in the Joliet West’s Spring Musical, Mean Girls – High School Version on March 15-17.  For tickets visit www.jtwestchoir.org.
