Igniting The Fire Prayer Ministry/Prophetess Ora Holloway and CEO/Israeio Holloway of Hope and Divine Purpose Transitional Homes, Inc. gave away socks on Friday, June 30, 2023, as part of the ministry’s community outreach program to Pastor Dwyane Barefield of All Nations Church on 103 Water Street, Joliet in support of their children’s summer camp. “We distributed 25 packages of 10 per child making a total of 250 pairs of socks, another 250 pairs to Pastor Earnest Jones of Christ Vision Community Church, 326 E. 18th St and the S.O.S. Village in Lockport, with a total of 850 socks,” said Prophetess Holloway. “These donations would not be possible without our partnership with Bombas, which was secured by my daughter Israeio Holloway, she continued.  According to Prophetess Holloway, the purpose and mission of her ministry is to help the community, churches, and small organization who are often overlooked for grants and other assistance in Joliet. “Our desire is to pick up where other community organizations left off,” said Holloway.  “We are the go between. Our main focus is to help provide resources for children, single mothers, and homeless individuals within the community,” she said.

“God has truly blessed us with in-kind donations to help,” Holloway said. The ministry recently donated to Hope and Divine Purpose Transitional Homes, Inc., a 501 c (3) Non-profit organization servicing young ladies and expecting mothers between the ages 16-21, as well as victims of human trafficking/exploitation and homelessness with basic need resources.

The ministry is now accepting donations from the community for basic need items for their upcoming 4th Annual Mommy and Me Diaper giveaway, Thursdays at 11am at Igniting The Fire Prayer Ministry at 134 East Cass Street Joliet, IL 60432. Items needed are Diapers: Huggies, Luvs all sizes, bottles, bibs, blankets, pacifiers, clothes: newborn, and 0-3, 3-6, 6-12 months.

The 4th Annual Mommy and Me Diaper giveaway is Saturday, August 19, 2023, 1pm at Igniting The Fire Prayer Ministry.
