Each season, LongHorn Steakhouse’s menu will feature special Peak Seasonal items that will consist of food products that are in season. Over this summer, there are a number of savory selections that are sure to make any fan of southwest cuisine salivate.
Ranch House Cobb Salad: Hand-chopped romaine, grilled corn salsa, fresh avocado, tomato, cucumber, cheddar jack, and crisp applewood smoked bacon with smoky tomato ranch.
This salad has a lot going for it. The mix of flavors it holds makes it anything but a boring choice. Add in the salsa to get a kick out of a salad truly southwest in flavor.
Parmesan Crusted Asparagus: Fresh spears, hand-battered and served crisp with shaved
Parmesan and red chili ranch
Even if you are not that big of a greens fan, it is definitely worth trying because like almost anything, when you add breading and Parmesan cheese, it just gets better.
Roasted Tomato Basil Soup: This creamy soup is served with shredded cheese and buttery croutons.
It’s a cream-based soup that goes wonderfully with a grilled cheese sandwich or LongHorn’s signature honey wheat bread.
Outlaw Ribeye: They call it this because it would be a crime if you didn’t try it!
It is one of our favorites because of the combination of juicy marbling and fire-grilled, bone-in flavor. Not too chewy, not too rough, but it’s just right.
Fire-Grilled Corn on the Cob: Brushed with smoky BBQ ranch and grated Parmesan cheese
This is unlike any Corn on the Cob you’ve ever tasted. If you appreciate a little kick, you owe it to yourself to try this Texas version of an American staple.
Very Berry Grilled Pound Cake: Grilled lemon pound cake with fresh strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream
Grilling a cake might not be a typical desert choice but it somehow works and along with the mix of fruit. Seriously, just try it.
Make it a point to treat yourself to this limited time menu at the LongHorn Steakhouse in behind the Bolingbrook Promenade. The address is 708 N. Janes Ave. For more information, call (630) 783-0684.
