Six BHS students sign NCAA Letters of Intent to play in college

Six Bolingbrook High School student athletes Wednesday signed their NCAA National Letters of Intent to continue their athletic endeavors at the college level next year.

Krissa Gearring, the Raiders' reigning volleyball record holder for most season (420) and career (776) kills will attend Southeast Missouri State University. The All SouthWest Suburban Conference squad member and BHS Most Valuable Player added 257 digs, 37 aces and 14 blocks this past season.

Three girls basketball players will move to the next level in 2014.

Aysia Bugg, who averaged 17 points per game for the Lady Raiders as a junior, will attend the University of Pittsburgh. Ryaen Johnson (11 points and 9 rebounds per game last year) signed with Loyola University of Chicago. Destiny Nash (5 points and 4 assists per game last year) committed to Kishwaukee Community College.

Two members of the boys basketball squad also signed Letters of Intent.

Kenny Williams (12 points and 6 rebounds per game while shooting over 50% from the field) will play ball for Northern Michigan University. Williams earned IBCA All-State Honorable Mention as a junior.

Gage Davis (8 points and 4 assists per game while shooting just under 40% from 3 point range last year) will attend Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW).
