A Joliet suspect who is believed to have shot a man three times in a late March gang-related attack was arrested this weekend, Joliet police said.
Dillon Adair, 18, of 210 Eastern Ave., was taken into custody at about 7:10 p.m. Saturday at Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, 1023 Brook Forest Ave., Shorewood, on a warrant issued by Joliet police, Lt. Brian Dupuis said.
Adair was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm. He is being held in Will County jail pending a bond hearing.
Adair was identified by witnesses and through his car's license plate as the man who drove up to an 18-year-old man standing in the 400 block of Herkimer and shot him in the shoulder, lower back and hand at about 7 p.m. March 29, Dupuis said.
The victim was treated at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center and survived the attack, he said.
Although he did not reveal the motive behind the shooting, Dupuis said it was definitely gang-related.
According to jail records, Adair was arrested in July 2013 for aggravated discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm as a gang member, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a firearm with an expired FOID card.
