Joliet Students Recognized At Slammers Game

Joliet Public Schools District 86 kicked-off the twelfth year of Joliet Reads, a community reading campaign to promote literacy, at a Joliet Slammers baseball game. District 86 Board of School Inspectors Vice President Gwen Ulmer and fellow board members Deborah Ziech and Christine Kim joined Superintendent Dr. Charles Coleman and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Elizabeth Yacobi to congratulate students for winning the Joliet Reads bookmark art contest. The students’ bookmarks will be distributed to children and adults in the community to promote reading.
