Tickets go on sale Friday for the latest concert scheduled for the Rialto Square Theatre: Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt.

Here's is the description of the singer-songwriters provided by the Rialto:

"Two ground-breaking artists whose music helped define the modern Americana music scene are joining together for an evening of stripped-down acoustic music.

"Since his self-titled debut in 1986, Lyle Lovett has evolved into one of music’s most vibrant and iconic performers. Fusing elements of the blues, country, folk, gospel and jazz with a unique gift for storytelling, he defies convention.

"John Hiatt has spent the past 25 years successfully straddling the line between songwriter and performer, while providing inspiration to an enviable list of performers who’ve recorded his songs, including Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Iggy Pop, Three Dog Night, Joe Cocker, Ry Cooder, Rosanne Cash and numerous others."
