Slammers plan second opening night for 'princesses'

The Joliet Slammers opening game is March 19, but the team has just announced they'll be doing a second "opening night" -- the second of two "Princess Nights" on the schedule. Here are the details:

Due to overwhelming demand, the Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy will hold a second Opening Night on Friday May 22, 2015 which also will be the first of two Princess Nights during the 2015 season. The most popular night of the 2014 season will also return on Friday, August 7.

Each night will include Anna, Elsa, Belle, Rapunzel, and Cinderella appearances provided by Magic, Music, and More, a costume contest (all fans dressed as a princess, or as a prince, will receive a voucher for a FREE small soft drink), and, this will also be the first Fireworks Friday of the year with a post-game princess themed fireworks show.

In addition, special princess ticket packages are available. Twenty fans on each date will have the opportunity to have a meet and greet with Anna and Elsa before the game.

For $150, fans will receive two Reserved seat tickets, a 40 minute meet and greet with Anna & Elsa (6:05-6:45), 1 Slammers princess t-shirt, 1 princess souvenir item, cupcakes, and milk. A $50 Daddy/Daughter Date Night Package is also available and includes two reserved seat tickets, two hot dogs, two sodas, a spot on the field to watch the fireworks show, and a single pink rose. For $35, fans can get a reserved seat ticket and the special edition Slammers princess t-shirt.
