A 20-year-old Joliet man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a sexual assault he allegedly committed in June 2014, the Will County Sheriff's Office said.
David Mascote, of 601 Henderson Ave., is accused of sexually attacking a 16-year-old girl in his vehicle after they left a family party, office spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said.
The victim notified sheriff's deputies, and an investigation was conducted into the incident, Hoffmeyer said.
Mascote was arrested on a warrant Wednesday, charging him with criminal sexual abuse. He is being held in the Will County jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.
