Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox submitted this news release:

Members from Girl Scouts Troop 70305 in Romeoville delivered gift-filled pumpkins for pediatric patients at Silver Cross Hospital on Oct. 27. The Girl Scouts made the pumpkins as part of a community service project.

“We are grateful to Girl Scouts Troop 70305 for their support for our pediatric patients,” said Larry Johnson, vice president of the Foundation at Silver Cross Hospital. “The donation made being in the hospital during the holiday a little easier for them.”

Said Kelli Buresh, Girl Scouts leader for Troop 70305: "I'm so very proud of the girls for choosing a project that will help bring joy to other kids. The girls chose to create the pumpkins for sick children who wouldn’t be able to trick-or-treat on Halloween."
