Bob Kase, dean of the college of arts and sciences at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, has been nominated for a Grammy award for a song on his jazz quintet's CD "As We Gather."

The nomination was for "Outstanding Jazz Solo" on the track entitled "Dr. Doo Good," an original composition by Kase.

The Bob Kase Quintet album was recorded at the USF Digital Audio Recording Arts studios, and was engineered, mastered, and produced by USF faculty members Alby Odum and Jeff Jaskowiak. It was released on the Altenburgh jazz label.
