Bertino-Tarrant to hold town hall meeting on state issues
9/9/2015, 9:59 a.m.
State Senator Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant (D-Shorewood) will host a town hall meeting to discuss state issues on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The meeting will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Shorewood-Troy Library (650 Deerwood Drive, Shorewood, 60404).
In the absence of a budget being approved by the governor, Bertino-Tarrant is interested in meeting with residents to hear their thoughts on the impasse in Springfield.
“I continue to support the state having a full year’s budget that funds essential services and helps the middle class,” Bertino-Tarrant said. “I wish to give residents an opportunity to ask questions about the budget and other topics.”
In addition to taking questions on the budget, Bertino-Tarrant hopes to discuss legislation from this session that is of interest to community members.
The town hall meeting is open to the public. For more information, or to submit questions ahead of time, please contact Bertino-Tarrant’s Plainfield office at 815-254-4211 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
