Chip in some time and energy to help maintain natural areas during spring and summer volunteer workdays hosted by the Forest Preserve District of Will County. Forest Preserve District of Will Co.

Spend some time this spring and summer helping the Forest Preserve District of Will County maintain its natural areas by volunteering for a resource management workday. Weekend workdays will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at various preserves. RSVP for a workday by emailing rgauchat@fpdwc.org or calling 815-722-7364.

Saturday, May 7: Messenger Woods Nature Preserve, Homer Glen.

Sunday, May 8: Hickory Creek Preserve – LaPorte Road Access, Mokena.

Saturday, May 21: Whalon Lake, Naperville.

Sunday, May 22: Sugar Creek Administration Center, Joliet.

Saturday, June 11: Hickory Creek Barrens Nature Preserve – Brightway Lane, New Lenox.

Sunday, June 12: Sugar Creek Administration Center, Joliet.

Saturday, July 9: Sugar Creek Administration Center, Joliet.

Sunday, July 10: Hickory Creek Preserve – LaPorte Road Access, Mokena.

Sunday, Aug. 14: Theodore Marsh, Crest Hill.

Saturday, Aug. 20: Keepataw Preserve, Lemont.

Saturday, Aug. 27: Hammel Woods, Shorewood.

Sunday, Aug. 28: Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve, Crete Township.
