Police blotter Feb. 3-Feb. 4, 2016

Local arrests that have been booked in to the Will County Jail.

The following individuals were arrested by local law enforcement agencies and booked in to the Will County Jail this week.

All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Gerrie Cokenhour, 42, of Joliet, arrested by Joliet Police and charged with theft from a school or house of worship, and income tax fraud.

Juan Hernandez, 36, of Joliet, arrested by Will County Sheriffs and charged with possession of a narcotic, disregarding a stop sign, and failure to comply with an order.

Efrain Maldonado, 45, of Joliet, arrested by Will County Sheriffs and charged with driving on a revoked license/suspension for DUI.

Nycole Simms, 44, of Joliet, arrested by Joliet Police and charged with aggravated fraud from a government entity and income tax fraud.

James Smithson, 46, of New Lenox, arrested by Will County Sheriffs and charged with unlawful restraint, and DUI.

Clarence Brown, 69, of Joliet, arrested by Joliet Police and charged with domestic battery, aggravated assault, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon/vehicle.

Laura Colvin, 26, of Joliet, arrested by Will County Sheriffs and charged with aggravated DUI, driving above the speed limit, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving without a license, and driving on a suspended license.

Javier Diaz-Reyes, 30, of Bolingbrook, arrested by Bolingbrook Police on a 2013 charge of driving without a license, as well as Feb. 4, 2016 charges for aggravated DUI, child restraint violation, driving without a license, disregard of a traffic light and other vehicle violations.

Sergio Meyen, 33, of Joliet, arrested by Joliet Police and charged with DUI, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving on a revoked license, endangering the life of a child, reckless conduct, and aggravated DUI/no valid driver’s license.

Kyle Smith, 23, of Joliet, arrested by Joliet Police on 2015 charges of DUI, driving on a suspended license, improper lane usage, and operating an uninsured vehicle. Also charged on Feb. 4, 2016 for two counts of aggravated battery against a peace officer, and a charge of resisting an officer.
