Joliet will hold a special city council meeting on Wednesday, April 12 starting at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the hiring process for a new city manager.

City Manager Jim Hock gave notice on Thursday last week that he intends to retire on May 3.

The special meeting will be held at Joliet City Hall, 150 W. Jefferson St. in Joliet.

The meeting’s agenda includes a public discussion of the hiring process as well as a closed session.
