Friends of the Plainfield Public Library used book sale is Aug. 24-26
8/16/2017, 3:01 p.m.
Friends of the Plainfield Public Library District annual used book sale fundraiser will be held Thursday, August 24 (9:00 AM to 8:30 PM), Friday, August 25 (9:00 AM to 4:30PM) and Saturday, August 26 (9:00 AM to 1:30 PM).
The event is free and open to the general public. Patrons who use a scanning device to select books will be charged a $10.00 premium, applied to the purchase of $200+ individual used book sales.
The annual used book sale allows the F.O.L. to assist with many of the unfunded and much-need projects of the library. This year’s youth and adult Summer Reading Program, “Reading by Design”, was primarily funded by the FOL with a check for $6,000.00 - thanks to last year’s book sale and the support of the community!
The FOL is accepting donations of books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray, vinyl records and audio books at the lower level meeting room of the library August 16 (3:00 PM -8:30PM), August 17 (9:00 AM - 8:30 PM), August 18, 19 (9:00 AM -4:30 PM), August 21, 22 (9:00 AM - 8:30 PM) and August 23 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Noon).
Clean out your attics, basements. Unload the books your children have outgrown. Please only donate items in good condition.
