The Bereavement Department of Joliet Area Community Hospice is offering a four session Family Journey workshop for ages 6— Adult. Each adult session includes a presentation by a hospice staff member on a grief related topic, followed by group support. Children and teenagers will meet separately with counselors and peers. All workshops take place at the Joliet Area Community Hospice (JACH) Offices, located at 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL from 6:00 pm—8:00 pm. The program is open to the community. Your loved one did not have to be in our care for you to participate. There is a fee per family. Sliding Scale is available.
The sessions will meet March 2, 9, 16 and 23, 2017 with topics ranging from What is Grief with a story shared by Dr. Bill Webster who established The Center for The Grief Journey, The Healing Pathway to the new “Normal” and Coping Strategies. In addition, a focus on the importance of remembering and honoring your loved ones, celebrating holidays and special days will also be covered during one of the sessions.
