Plainfield Settlers’ Park summer movie series concludes July 21

The outdoor summer movie series concludes with a screening of The Secret Life of Pets.

Plainfield, IL -- Calling all movie lovers! The 2017 Movie Series concludes on Friday, July 21, at 8:30 p.m. The Village of Plainfield and Plainfield Park District will be showing The Secret Life of Pets, sponsored by Waste Management, in Settlers’ Park at the Richard A. Rock Amphitheater. The Secret Life of Pets features the voices of Louis C.K., Kevin Hart, and Eric Stonestreet and is rated PG with a run time of 90 minutes.

The movie is shown on a 20 foot inflatable screen and terraced seating is available. Attendees are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and bug spray.

Concessions, including popcorn and snacks, are available for sale and Kona Ice also sells shaved ice during the movies. The proceeds benefit the movies in the park. Plus, you can visit with the Plainfield Library, Police Department, and Fire Protection District before the movie begins.

Settlers’ Park is located in Downtown Plainfield, southeast of the intersection of Lockport Street and Van Dyke Road and just south of the Village Hall. Parking is available in the Village Hall Parking Lot, on Village Center Drive, and on Van Dyke Road.
