Forty six Joliet Township High School students attended Camp College at Lewis University on Monday, June 12. The program featured topics such as choosing a path after high school, academic options, financial aid, and completing college

applications. Students also had the opportunity to tour Lewis University's campus, meet with current students who shared their college experiences, and complete a free application.

"I'm so glad I attended Camp College. I enjoyed the visit. Information was provided that answered many questions I had about college. Everything was seamless and organized," said Raul Munoz, a junior at Joliet Central.

West Junior Shannah Triplett agreed. "My favorite part was meeting with current students and hearing about their experiences in college. I'm considering attending Lewis next fall," said Triplett.

According to Yvette Jacquet, School Counselor at Joliet West, "The program is a great first step for students as they begin the college application process.

Students had the chance to complete their first college application and experience a sense of accomplishment and hopefully feel less stressed about applying to schools in the future."

Aseneth Ruiz, School Counselor at Joliet Central added, "We are so glad that we had the opportunity to partner with Ashley Skidmore, Dean of Admissions at Lewis University. Her generosity and organization made the program a success."
