Slammers playing three at home this week

The Slammers host the Schaumburg Boomers at home this week with game one set for June 27.

Joliet, IL — The Joliet Slammers host the Schaumburg Boomers at home this week, with game one set for Tuesday, June 27 at 7:05 pm.

Tuesday’s game is a $2 Tuesday with all reserved seat tickets starting at two dollars. In addition, it is Medical Appreciation Night. Fans working in the medical field can show their ID to enter to win prizes. Following the game, kids can run the bases presented by Andy’s Frozen Custard.

Prior to Tuesday’s game, the Slammers are also hosting a special event in conjunction with the Joliet Fire Department. A qualifying home run derby will begin at Slammers Stadium at 5:45 pm with Joliet firemen competing for the chance to play in the Frontier League Home Run Derby July 11. The derby will consist of 10-11 players competing in two-minute rounds. Gates will open early on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.

On Wednesday, the Slammers host their first Day Camp Day of the season at 10:05 am. Post-game, kids can run the bases.

Thursday, June 29 is a Thirsty Thursday presented by Bud Light. The night will featuring $2 Bud and Bud Light, along with $2 Pepsi products.
