State legislators and Forest Preserve District of Will County Board members gather Monday, March 20, for a breakfast meeting to discuss legislative priorities for the Forest Preserve. Pictured from left to right are:

Legislative initiatives discussed at the meeting included a desire by the District to have the former Joliet Correctional Center property in Joliet transferred for public open space use and support of a bill that would require ground water monitoring for all clean construction or demolition debris fill operations. Also in attendance at the breakfast were state Sens. Pat McGuire and Sue Rezin and state Reps. Jim Durkin, Natalie Manley, Margo McDermed and Larry Walsh Jr.
