Two years ago in the City of Joliet voter turnout was less than 20% in our municipal election that determined the 5 Council races and the Mayor. Think about that please…in the 3rd largest city in Illinois less than 20% of voters in a city of 150,000 decided our public officials. Early voting is readily available and your city needs you to help decide how to best govern ourselves. This election on April 4th the marquee race in Joliet is the three City Council At-Large seats. There are 15 candidates on the ballot and you have the opportunity to choose 3. If you are not familiar with any candidates ask family and/or a friend. If you are familiar with the candidates please share your knowledge with family and friends. Other seats of interests to be decided are Elementary, High School, Joliet Junior College, and the Joliet Park District Boards Every community has an important election! Bolingbrook has a high profile Mayor’s race. Please…your neighborhood needs you to cast a vote for the future. This is your city, be a part of it!
