Pace Park-n-Ride open house
9/6/2017, 4:11 p.m.
The Village of Plainfield is hosting a community open house on Thursday, September 14, from 5-8 pm, at Village Hall, 24401 W. Lockport Street, to present information and get feedback on development concepts for the Village-owned property east of Van Dyke and Wood Farm Roads and south of 143rd Street.
This fall, the Village and PACE will begin construction on a Park ‘n’ Ride facility on a portion of the property. The Village is considering a public-private partnership approach to develop the remaining property with a variety of office and light-industrial development alternatives. During the Open House, Village Staff will present information on the PACE project, provide an overview of the potential range of office and light-industrial development opportunities, and explain the benefits of the public-private partnership approach.
Residents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the Park ‘n’ Ride and additional development opportunities. Parties that may want to participate in the public-private partnership as well as businesses that are interested in locating in the proposed development are also encouraged to attend. For more information, please contact Jonathan Proulx, Director of Planning, at (815) 609-6139.
