The White Oak Library District will present “Books and Beer Book Discussion” at its Romeoville Branch Library in February.

The White Oak Library District will present “Books and Beer Book Discussion” at its Romeoville Branch Library at 201 W. Normantown Road. It meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm. The next meeting is February 13, 2018.

Have a snack and enjoy a beer while having a low-key book discussion. You must be at least 21 to participate. On February 13, we will be talking about The 100-Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson. Confined to a nursing home, Allan Karlsson, who has a back story as an explosives expert, climbs out of the window in his slippers and embarks on an adventure involving thugs, an elephant, and a very friendly hot dog stand operator.

Copies of the book will be available after January 9 at the Romeoville Branch Library’s Adult Services Desk.
