Alzheimer’s community forum
10/16/2018, 3:55 p.m.
The Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter is hosting an Alzheimer’s Community Forum on Thursday, October 18, 2018.
This Community Forum is a community meeting which gathers people together in a neutral setting where they can ask questions about the disease, discuss their experiences, learn about resources, and discover how to engage in the cause.
This 90-minute gathering is designed as a strategy to organize community engagement and better understand how Alzheimer’s programs and services can be responsive to the diverse and unique communities we serve. Some goals of this Community Forum are to listen to the experiences of the community related to the cause and to identify needs, gaps in resources, and opportunities.
The Forum will be held at the White Oak Library in Romeoville, IL., 201 Normantown Road. Join us for light refreshments and to learn more about Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory loss. Bring a friend who has been affected by the disease. Together we can share our thoughts on how Northern Illinois can come together to help people in our community.
