JTHS schools closed due to weather conditions

All JTHS Schools and Facilities are Closed on Wednesday, January 30, & Thursday, January 31, 2019 Due to Forecasted Weather Conditions— After-school Activities are Canceled Tuesday, January 29-Thursday, January 31, 2019 All JTHS events, practices, and meetings have been canceled for today.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, all JTHS District 204 schools and facilities will be closed Wednesday, January 30 and Thursday, January 31, 2019. JTHS students and staff should not report to school. JTHS transportation services will not be provided to students in the AVAC and Transition Center programs and to Special Education students placed outside the district.

The Wake Up Call event that is scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 31 is also cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Will County Office Buildings closed Weds. Jan. 30

Will County Executive Larry Walsh and the acting Chief Judge David Carlson have announced the closure of all county buildings on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 and they will reopen at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 31.

“With the predicted record low temperatures, the acting Chief Judge and I have agreed it is wise to close the county buildings on Wednesday to ensure the safety of our employees and our residents” Walsh said. “And we strongly encourage everyone to stay home tomorrow unless it is absolutely necessary.”

Residents can refer to the Will County Emergency Management Agency’s site for information about warming centers or other winter safety tips www.willcountyema.org.

Walsh said normal business operations will resume at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 31.

Driver Services facilities and offices closed Wed

The Secretary of State facilities and offices will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 30 due to dangerously cold temperatures.

Online services will be available. Individuals can visit the Secretary of State’s website, www.cyberdriveillinois.com to change an address, register to become an organ and tissue donor or renew license plate stickers online.

A determination will be made on Wednesday at noon regarding a possible closure due to weather for Thursday, Jan. 31. Please visit www.cyberdriveillinois.com for updates on closures.

Joliet District 86 Schools closed Wednesday

Due to the extreme weather forecast, all Joliet Public Schools District 86 Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 30, and Thursday, January 31. In addition, all after-school activities for today, Wednesday, and Thursday are cancelled.

JJC Weather closure

In addition to JJC's early closing today, Jan. 29, at 4 p.m. the college will also be closed all day Wednesday, Jan. 30 AND all day Thursday, Jan. 31. For today, Jan. 29, offices and classes will be dismissed at 4 p.m. and the college will close. All evening classes and activities are canceled.

Promenade Bolingbrook will close Wednesday Jan. 30

Due to extremely cold temperatures, The Promenade Bolingbrook will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The mall will resume normal hours on Thursday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Store and restaurant hours may vary, so please call ahead.
