The Lewis Innovation Hub, a regional business incubator housed at Lewis University, is now accepting applicants. This program is made possible through a partnership between the university and the Des Plaines River Valley Enterprise Zone, which is made up of Lockport, Joliet, Rockdale, Romeoville, and Will County. The call goes out to all entrepreneurs who are looking to accelerate their business idea. The program provides services over a two-year period to help entrepreneurs achieve their goals. Three phases are offered and each has tailored resources and dedicated facility advisors that will assist in moving the business from one phase to the next.
"This Innovation Hub is a fantastic program that will help fulfill the dreams of so many entrepreneurs," stated Romeoville Mayor John Noak. "This is an example of partnering education and business, a goal that the members of the enterprise zone are actively pursuing." Tomorrow's entrepreneurs will receive insight and guidance from mentors in the business industry and learn how to operate successfully. They will also be provided with workspace and labs to build and put their ideas to the test. More information on the Lewis Innovation Hub, including an application to join or how to be a mentor, can be found at lewisu.edu/innovate.
