Joliet Central High School will host it's information night for incoming freshman next week.

Joliet Central High School and Joliet West High School will host an evening of important information about registration, testing, athletics, activities and more for eighth grade students and parents at the two schools next week.

Joliet Central High School will host its annual Steelmen Academy Showcase for incoming freshmen on Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Joliet Central High School, 201 E. Jefferson Street in Joliet.

The Welcome Center in the Student Galleria opens at 6 p.m. Parents and students can tour the school and speak with current students, teachers, and counselors about elective courses, athletics, and activities. There are student performances and entertainment provided by Central’s music programs.

Guests may enter through the Main Entrance at the circle drive or through Door J, the Auditorium Entrance, on Eastern Avenue. Parking is available in all school lots. Masks are required indoors and guests must certify that they do not have COVID or COVID symptoms prior to entry or at the door through CrisisGo.

Joliet West High School, 401 N. Larkin Ave., will host its annual 8th Grade Preview Night for incoming freshmen and their parents from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1.

The event kicks off in the Field House at 5:30 p.m. with an overview of athletics and activity offerings, followed by a series of programs parents and students can choose to attend. Students and their parents can select up to four programs based on interest.
