The Rialto Square Theatre wants to warn ticket buyers to beware when purchasing tickets through third party ticket brokers. Don’t be deceived by third party ticket resellers charging inflated prices for tickets to Rialto Square Theatre events. If the price of a ticket for a Rialto Square Theatre event seems extremely high there is a good possibility that you are not ordering tickets directly from us. The Rialto Square Theatre does not endorse these third party resellers. If buying tickets online make sure that you are actually ordering through Ticketmaster, our only authorized online ticket seller, and not a third party reseller that seeks to profit from the attractions performing at the Rialto Square Theatre. Tickets may be purchased online through Ticketmaster at http://www.ticketmaster.com Phone orders may be placed through Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Rialto box office located at 102 N. Chicago Street, Joliet, IL.
After hearing the pleas to save the Rialto, City Manager Jim Hock is proposing that Joliet take over ownership and operation of the beleaguered theater.
The Rialto Square governing board will review the five proposals its received and narrow it to two before making a final selection for a new management company to run the theater and books shows.
Public tours cancelled, box office and front entrance inaccessible, and ticket purchases must be made by phone during filming.
The board that oversees the Rialto Theater has opted to look for a third party management company to oversee operations instead of hiring a new general manager.
