Pop-Up Free Vaccine Clinic for dogs in Bolingbrook

Published on

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, Bolingbrook Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta, and the K9 Enrichment Initiative invite dog owners to a pop-up pet clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 8 at the Bolingbrook Town Center. The appointment-only event, hosted in partnership with Petco Love, will provide free vaccinations, microchipping services, and a pet food pantry.

“Ensuring pets have up-to-date vaccines and working pets can be lifesaving,” said County Executive Bertino-Tarrant. “I invite any residents in need of these services to register for this pop-up clinic to keep their pets healthy.”

The free vaccines were provided by Petco Love as part of their national vaccination initiative, which is providing one million free pet vaccines to animal welfare partners, including K9 Enrichment Initiative, for family pets in need. Vaccines to protect dogs from Distemper/Parvo and Bordatella will be provided at the event, along with microchips, and dog food.

“Having two dogs of my own, I understand the importance of routine vaccinations and microchips,” said Mayor Alexander-Basta. “I’m thankful to partner with Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, K9 Enrichment Initiative, and Petco Love to provide a resource for more residents to practice responsible pet ownership.”

The clinic will be hosted outside in the north parking lot of the Bolingbrook Town Center, located 375 West Briarcliff Road. Attendees must register in advance online at www.k9ei.dog. Volunteer opportunities are also available online.

“I invite local residents to take advantage of this no-cost resource to ensure the health and wellness of your community’s pets,” said Cynthia Lynn Guzman, Executive Director of K9 Enrichment Initiative. “I’m very thankful for Petco Love and our partners for their ongoing support, allowing us to offer free services to pet owners in need of support. These events would not be possible without our donors and local clinic sponsors.”
