Cannabis revenues to pay Reparations

The Will County Democratic Caucus is proposing the county uses tax revenues generated from cannabis sales in the county to pay reparations to blacks. The caucus has drafted a four-page resolution outlining the plan. Will County Board member Steve Ballich (R-Homer Glen) vehemently opposes the move, and found it offensive the way white people were described in the resolution. Will County Board member Rachel Ventura, District 9 (D-Joliet) read the resolution into the record at the Will County Democratic Caucus Meeting.
