She ROCKS It to celebrate Women Who ROCK

The Chicagoland area will be rocking on Saturday after two years as The She ROCKS It returns to celebrate outstanding women Who ROCK. The event will take place on Saturday May 21, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Bolingbrook Golf Club on Rodeo Drive and is sponsored by She ROCKS It, S.H.E. Inc., and She ROCKS It Magazine.

 

 

 

 

 

The gala will begin with the 22 honorees, and guest walking the red carpet, showcased, and interviewed by Coffee Summers. Serita Love is the official hostess for the event. The women that will be honored are  Keeana Barber, Founder & CEO of WDB Marketing, Bridgette Flagg, Head Cook and Owner of Soule’, L. Marie Asad, Community Relations Specialist, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Afenya Pongo Montgomery, founder of The iCAN Collective, Madilyn Wiley, family, community, and education advocate, Nicole C. Bullock, founder and CEO of The Nicole Cares Foundation, Inc., Antonia Harmony, Founder of Harmony Beauty Company, Shenitha Finesse, CEO and Founder, S.H.E. PUBLISHING LLC., and Toy Ann McCray Community Service, Leadership, Mentorship, Physical Fitness Instruction, and Training guru. The talented Windie Indie will entertain guests with an array of music for the special occasion. Gala Special Guest Speaker will be Debra Vines, founder of The Answer Inc. Autism Awareness and Support Agency.

 

The women were chosen because of the outstanding contribution they have made in their community, education, business, and entertainment.

 

 

 

Founded by Joyce Dawkins of Lockport in 2017, the organization has 18 members committed to making a difference in their communities. She ROCKS It is an organization that hosts events designed to honor and empower women.  She ROCKS It supports and acknowledges the success of women, promotes lifelong learning, supports non-profit organizations that help women live beyond their past and focus on rebuilding their future, and promotes relationship-building among women, networking, partnership, and volunteering, according to Dawkins.

Dawkins said, She ROCKS It is committed to raising awareness on issues that impact the lives of women and strengthen relationships by hosting events that promote positivity, respect, kindness, support, and sisterhood. For more information visit sherocksit.org
