Joliet Township High School Students of the Month are nominated and selected based on character, responsibility, and academic performance or improvement.
“Students don’t need the distraction of wondering where their next meal is coming from or if they’ll have a roof over their head,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “We must do everything in our power to ensure students’ basic needs are met so they can be set up for future successes.”
The Will County Center for Community Concerns is offering a limited number of $1,000 scholarships to income-eligible residents of Will County. Scholarship funding is provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Community Service Block Grant.
