At 10:55 a.m. on February 23, 2022, while armed with a handgun, Henry attempted to carjack an individual entering his vehicle outside a 7-Eleven convenience store in Chicago’s Lincoln Park area while armed with a firearm. Jordan aimed his gun at the victim’s face and the victim fled the scene
. The victim was in her bed in her locked bedroom when Vieni, who was intoxicated, broke through the door and struck the victim several times, knocking her to the floor.
“Jose Vilchis is a reprehensible sexual predator who calculatingly used his position of trust and authority to take advantage of innocent girls,” Glasgow said. “He repeatedly preyed upon young gymnasts in private under the guise of being a caring coach. I commend these young women for their courage in coming forward and telling their stories. Although nothing can undo the damage he caused, he will spend the rest of his days in a prison cell unable to prey on anyone else.”

Henry’s bond had been set at $1 million. In May, Henry sought to dismiss the action in Will County, arguing that it should be tried in Chicago where the carjacking occurred. Judge Bertani-Tomczak denied the motion after the prosecution argued that Henry continued to exert unauthorized control over the stolen Volkswagen Jetta in Will County.
“Saul Nunez is the 17th Will County defendant to receive a prison sentence for dealing deadly poison that causes the death of another. Although these cases are often extremely difficult to investigate, our police departments and my office are committed to doing everything we can to take dealers who sell deadly drugs like fentanyl off our streets,” said State’s Attorney Glasgow.
“If I pull somebody over for speeding going 65 in a 55, and I don’t write them a ticket, does that mean I’m not enforcing (the law)?” he aked. “And I know we’re talking apples to oranges here, but…my point on this is that officers have discretion. We don’t arrest everybody we could or else our jails would be totally overrun.”
Ferrell is facing two counts of theft by deception, two counts of wire fraud, two counts of loan fraud, one count of theft, two counts of forgery, two counts of obtaining fraudulent state unemployment benefits and five counts for failing to file income tax returns in Illinois.
