Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with Beers, Burgers, and a Bazaar at Flipside Brewing

Published on

Tinley Park, IL – Join us for a fantastic Memorial Day weekend event at Flipside Brewing, where you can indulge in delicious food, uniquely crafted beverages, and a vibrant local artisan market! The Flipside Bazaar, hosted by the Streetz Artz Alliance, will take place on Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 11 AM to 5 PM at Flipside Brewing, located at 7144 183rd St, Tinley Park, IL 60477.

Flipside Brewing’s Burger of the Month, the “Chorizo Burger,” will be available during the event. This mouthwatering burger consists of two beef-chorizo blend patties, Oaxaca cheese, refried beans, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Pair it with their latest beer release, the Golden Snozzberry, a 5% ABV Golden Ale infused with strawberries and vanilla. “We took a 5% ABV Golden Ale, added some strawberries & vanilla to bring you this delicious treat!” said Flipside Brewing on their website.

Mike “Kaz” Keselica, owner of Big Mike Soap Co. and the curator and organizer for this event, shared his excitement: “Looking forward to Flipside’s first market of 2024. Join us for a fantastic day of shopping, food, and community spirit.” Keselica, who was promoted to curator of the Streetz Artz Alliance earlier this year, is making his debut as the main organizer of this event. In addition to his organizing role, he will also be showcasing and selling his handcrafted soaps and car fresheners.

Seven of the fourteen participating artists are new to this venue, promising a fresh and diverse mix of offerings. Newcomers include Avijo Designs, Chomp Monsters, Crystal Ship Jewelry, Kraftasaurous Kreations, LMKill Art, Now That’s Fudge & Sweets, and Sprig & Flame. These artists bring a variety of unique products, from eco-conscious pet toys made from upcycled materials by Chomp Monsters to decorative truffles and fudge by Now That’s Fudge & Sweets.

John Streetz, head of the Streetz Artz Alliance, expressed his enthusiasm for the event and the collaborative efforts involved: “I’m excited to have several artists organizing their own shows for the Streetz Artz Alliance besides me. One of my goals is to empower small businesses and artists to learn new things, excel at new skills, and share the wealth of promotion, knowledge, and opportunity. It’s also nice to take a back seat and just enjoy one of our shows too!”

Returning favorites from the Streetz Artz Alliance, such as Belonio Doodles, Ten Cups Tarot, Wanna Pickle Gourmet Foods, and Libby McArthur Art, will also be featured. Belonio Doodles is June’s artist of the month at Soundgrowler, a nearby venue, and Libby McArthur Art will be hosting a “Pen and Ink Mushrooms w/ Libby” art class at Soundgrowler on May 29, 2024.

The event is family-friendly, free to attend, and suitable for all ages. There is ample parking available in the large property lot, making it convenient for attendees. Tinley Park is home to four breweries, all part of the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild’s Summer Passport program. Visitors are encouraged to explore these local breweries and take advantage of the passport rewards program. For more information on the Summer Passport program, visit [Illinois Beer] (https://www.illinoisbeer.org/passport.html).

The Flipside Bazaar is an excellent opportunity to support local artists and enjoy the best food and drink Tinley Park has to offer. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this event promises an enjoyable and memorable Memorial Day weekend.
