Christina Clausen Takes over as Chairman of Will County Republican Party

Published on

On Thursday April 18, 2024, Christina Clausen was elected as the new Chairman of the Will County Republican Party.

“I am humbled and honored by the trust placed in me,” said Clausen. “Together, the Will County Republicans will champion a principled conservative message and rebuild our party into a robust organization so that we can elect strong Republican leaders and save our state.”

Christina thanked former Chairman Tim Ozinga for his time, dedication, and leadership. “I am grateful for Tim’s leadership and commitment to our party. His contributions have laid a strong foundation for our future, and I look forward to building on them,” Clausen added.

One of the reasons the Will County Republican organization chose Clausen for the position is her strong business attributes. She understands the need for fiscal responsibility, strong leadership, and effective management—qualities they say are essential for guiding the Will County Republican Party forward. Her hands-on experience running a successful business equips her with the practical knowledge and skills to lead, according to the group.

“Will County families are hurting, regardless of partisanship. I am excited to lead our party with a vision that values fiscal conservatism, strong ethical leadership, and a commitment to the principles that define us. Together, we will build a future where principled Republicans lead with integrity and resolve,” continued Clausen.

Hillary Mattsey-Kurzawa was elected Secretary. Mattsey-Kurzawa is a resident of Frankfort and Secretary of the Frankfort Township Republican Organization.
