County Executive Bertino-Tarrant hosts legislative tour of Will County RNG Plant

County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant hosted state legislators at a tour of Will County’s Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Plant on June 24, spotlighting the environmental and financial benefits of the facility. The RNG Plant, the second in Illinois and first in Chicagoland, repurposes landfill gas from County-owned Prairie View Landfill into renewable, revenue-generating transportation fuel. Attendees included State Sen. Meg Loughran Cappel, State Sen. Linda Holmes, State Rep. Dagmara Avelar, State Rep. Anthony DeLuca, State Rep. Jackie Haas, and representatives from Constellation and Harbour Contractors, Inc.
