Tournaments at Romeoville’s Athletic & Event Center to be Live Streamed

Published on

The Romeoville Village Board has approved an agreement between the Village and LiveBarn to stream sports tournaments at the Athletic & Event Center. This gives scouts as well as friends and family members of the athletes the ability to watch the games from anywhere there is an internet connection.

LiveBarn will provide all the hardware and setup for the broadcasts while the Village will receive a percentage of subscription revenue.

Those looking to sign up for the service will be able to use a discount code through the

Athletic & Event Center, which will be made available in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on www.romeovilleathleticcenter.com for details.

“Many of the tournaments hosted here at the Romeoville Athletic & Event Center bring in teams from all over Illinois as well as other states,” explained Mayor John Noak. “One of the joys of sports is being able to watch your team and your specific athlete perform, so we’re very happy that we will be able to give that opportunity to every person who comes to play at this facility.”

LiveBarn is currently being used by over 50 venues in the Chicagoland area, including Canlan Ice Sports Arena right here in Romeoville. Streaming capabilities are expected to be set up within the next six months. To watch games, head to livebarn.com.
