Person walking

Now in its 31st year, the AIDS Run & Walk Chicago returns to Chicago’s Soldier Field on Sunday, October 2 to help create equity and justice across Chicagoland and raise awareness and funds for individuals who are living with or vulnerable to HIV/AIDS. This year’s theme, Forward Together, aims to look beyond our current state and focus on what we can do to create a better future for people living with HIV and AIDS.

This year, Walgreens will be on-site providing Pfizer booster shots, Omicron booster shots and flu shots for participants. The event features the return of McDonald’s McRig for breakfast, the Oscar Mayer Weinermoble for lunch and the MolsonCoors beer garden for refreshments following the Run/Walk. Providing entertainment for the day will be the Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus, DJ Harry Tyner and Donica Lynn. ARWC is once again hosted by legendary WGN on-air personality Dean Richards.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit AIDS Foundation Chicago (AFC), as well as 30 Community Direct recipients that provide programs and services, including testing, for those living with or vulnerable to HIV, AIDS and other chronic illnesses. Since the event was established in 1991, AIDS Run & Walk Chicago has drawn more than 23,000 advocates and raised more than $5.5 million to battle the epidemic. For more information, visit aidsrunwalk.org or call 312-334-0953.
