In partnership with the city of Crest Hill, State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel will join representatives from the state treasurer’s office for an ICash event in Crest Hill on Saturday, April 22.

The Joliet City Council last year unanimously approved a $87 million bond issue, which is a portion of the projected $592 million to $810 million project. The City of Joliet will share the costs with members of the Regional Water Commission that also includes the communities of Romeoville, Crest Hill, Shorewood, Channahon, and Minooka.
“As an educator, I have seen firsthand that when schools are adequately funded, students have better outcomes,” said Loughran Cappel (D-Shorewood). “The additional funding allocated to schools across the area will provide more curriculum options, better facilities and other resources to help students learn and grow.”
