Reigning First Party For Bolingbrook introduces its slate of municipal candidates for the April 4, 2023 Consolidated Election. With three village trustee positions to be filled, the First Party slate includes incumbent Trustee Michael Carpanzano who is seeking a second term, Trustee Jean Kelly, seeking her own four- year term after being appointed in 2022 to fill a vacancy, and rising star Jose Quintero seeking election for the third seat.

Carpanzano has been a very familiar face around Bolingbrook, both as a Trustee since 2019, and as popular master of ceremonies for many Village events, activities, and non-profit fundraisers. Having served the Bolingbrook business community for well over a decade, in addition to his role as Trustee, Carpanzano serves on the Village’s Finance and Public Safety Committees, was Executive Director of the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce, and has been a member of numerous boards of organizations such as Crime Stoppers, Heart Haven Outreach, Midwest Christian Montessori Academy, and more. promise to residents is to keep local government accessible, responsive, and closest to the people.”

Kelly is no stranger to public service, having served as DuPage Township Assessor for six years, with a total of 10 years in the Assessor’s office. She brings that experience to the village leadership’s goal of attracting quality businesses into the community. She was appointed to her trustee seat ten months ago to fill a vacancy.

Quintero has been a Bolingbrook resident for nine years, after he and his wife were seeking a diverse community in which to raise their two sons. He currently serves as a Commissioner on Bolingbrook’s Zoning Board of Appeals. Professionally, he has grown into his role as Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Windson Hospitality Group. Among his many avocational activities, he currently serves on the boards of the Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce and Crime-Stoppers, is President-elect of the local Rotary Club, and is a member of the Bolingbrook Lions Club.

Bolingbrook residents are encouraged to vote on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the Consolidated Election, which includes the race for the Village trustees, as well as for leaders of the local park, library, and school districts. Those who need to register to vote can visit Village Hall during regular business hours or register online at www.willcountyclerk.gov for Will County Residents and www.dupagecounty.gov/election/ for DuPage County Residents.
